I think most people can agree that a foot massage is good. It’s a feeling of well-being, and it’s a wonderful feeling. And the experience becomes a little better when you can have someone else give you a foot massage..
The challenge is finding the person to do it. Most people don’t really like a set of sour toes/feet.
Who doesn’t know the feeling of tired feet? It could be after a long day at the office (in the wrong shoes), a day on the hospital floor with a lot of steps, or maybe you’ve been out running or walking?
So your feet are tired, they are heavy, they are sore and they may also be a little swollen! All of these things can be helped by a foot massage. So now all you need to do is convince your partner, or someone else in the household, to give you a foot massage. Or you can do it yourself (after you have made dinner, done your homework, put the kids to bed or other chores). It’s just not quite the same, is it?
But fortunately there are really good alternatives.

Test of Flowlife Flowfeet
We have tested Flowlife Flowfeet. The reason I write we is because it quickly developed into a “family project”. And thereby I already reveal here that everyone in our entire family can use and greatly benefit from Flowfeet.
A little bit about our family. An active family, where both mom and dad like to run. Dad does running, soccer, spinning and strength training. Both boys in the family run to soccer at least twice a week. Mom is a hairdresser, and dad works in an office.
So, there are certainly plenty of sore, swollen, tired and exhausted feet to relieve. Therefore, it was almost obvious that Flowfeet should be tried in this family.

Foot massage has not been a priority for us. In fact, we never really got started with it until we first got our hands on the Flowlife Flowgun. Not that this article and test is about the 2 products pitted against each other. But let’s just say that foot massage with the Flowgun is fine, but foot massage in Flowfeet is just that much more optimal..
This is partly because you can sit comfortably and let the machine work on your feet. Easy, soothing and very convenient.
Video review of Flowfeet
Here you can watch our video review of the product. Including how you can easily get started with Flowfeet. Max 2 minutes, and then you sit and receive a relaxing foot massage. We go through the various disadvantages and advantages of Flowfeet. In this video you will also be able to get a short instruction on how the buttons on your Flowfeet work.
Watch our video review of Flowfeet below.
3 different programs in Flowfeet
There are a total of 9 different variations in Flowfeet. 3 different programs, each with 3 variations/strengths.
Program 1 – is the program that I personally recommend you start with at strength 1. Then you are just getting started, and your feet get used to the massage. Program 1 focuses on the Achilles tendons and the muscles around them. It can be a sensitive area, so always start with strength 1. You can always turn up the strength.
Program 2 – Here there is more focus on the bottom of the foot being massaged. You will be able to feel how the plate under the foot works with your muscles and tendons. And the heel (underneath) will also be worked on here. This program is really good for getting this feeling that the whole foot has been worked on well.
Program 3 – Compression program. You may know it from other places with compression – perhaps you are used to running with compression stockings. Here your feet are put in compression, they come under pressure. This program is perfect for increasing blood circulation, and in combination with the heat option, your feet really relax afterwards. Again, it is a really good idea to start at strength 1. Then you can always build on. My guess is that you will be surprised by the strength of Flowfeet.

Flowfeet foot massage. Why?
Flowlife from Sweden has been producing various wellness and massage devices for many years for the purpose of recovery and blood circulation. In fact, they started by producing for industrial initiatives, clinics and hospitals. They (fortunately) chose to enter the private market.
They have developed the Flowfeet foot massage machine! And not just any machine, but actually a foot massage that does something.
Personally, I have felt and seen many shoddy massage products that promised a lot but didn’t deliver.. (excuse my language)
But you just don’t run into that at Flowlife! If I have to draw a pair, take theirs Flowgun massage gun
It’s not a cheap massage gun, but it works and it doesn’t burn! I’ve had quite a few inquiries about our description and test of Flowgun. And when people hear the price, they become a little hesitant. But as with almost everything, price and quality are related. And quality, it’s a state guarantee from Flowlife!
So if I have to answer my own question: Why foot massage?
Because you can (and should)
…and of course because you can achieve many benefits from foot massage. You won’t find them all in this article, but you will find quite a few. And then you will find lots of other benefits from foot massage. All based on the Flowlife Flowfeet massage machine.

What does foot massage do?
Your feet are the part of your body that takes the most pressure. In fact, it is said that your feet receive up to 700 tons of load every day. Every single day of your life. You can do the math yourself. But it is easy to conclude from such numbers that you should take care of and nurture your feet. An exercise that doesn’t really require much, but that far too few people do, including myself. But luckily I came across Flowlife Flowfeet foot massage.
Personally, I think a trip to a real masseuse who focuses exclusively on your feet is more beneficial. They can get more around your foot, and into the nooks and crannies. But I also believe that a well-functioning foot massager is definitely the next best alternative.
Your feet recover better
Flowlife Flowfeet has several different options. You can both receive a “massage” and the machine can “compress”
Both of these things are what make foot massage naturally help your feet recover better. Both the massage and the compression make it easier for you to get waste products that accumulate (naturally) away from your feet.
Increased blood circulation
When you massage your feet, you automatically increase blood circulation, also known as blood flow. When blood circulates in the body, it works best. And of course, that includes your feet.
Increased blood circulation can also contribute to better recovery/healing of your tired or sore feet.
Other benefits you can get from foot massage
There are so many great benefits to giving your feet a massage. Our list is not exhaustive, but I have listed a few more below.
Mindre stress – When you don’t tense your muscles and joints, your body also relaxes better. This doesn’t just apply to your feet, but to your entire body. For example, if you increase the level of dopamine in your feet, it can have a positive impact on lowering the level of cortisol (the stress hormone).
Heavy, sore or tired feet – Generally speaking, massage just makes you relax better (afterwards). You release tension in your muscles, which gives you more freedom. The heavy and sore feeling is taken away.
Better sleep – This may be somewhat related to the above. But if you have walked a lot, or perhaps sat still in the office all day, your feet become tired and irritable. If you give them a foot massage before bed, you will relax more, and will therefore also have better conditions for a better sleep.
Less cold feet – Cold feet are in most cases related to poor blood circulation. And we just talked about how foot massage helps with better blood circulation. So an extra side benefit here could be that if you suffer from cold feet, foot massage helps with that!
Unboxing Flowlife Flowfeet
We have made a short video. Here you can see and hear what we said the first time we got our hands on the Flowlife Flowfeet. Further down in the article you can find our full review video of Flowfeet.
This is what I said the first time I saw Flowfeet
How to use Flowfeet foot massager
You can start using your flowfeet foot massager in no time. You don’t have to spend a lot of time preparing. It’s nowhere near as time-consuming as if you were to use some Recovery Boots. You can easily spend 15 minutes there before you get started.
With Flowfeet you can be up and running in less than 2 minutes. Just find a place to sit, preferably somewhere you can relax, then plug it in. You are in for a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable foot massage.
Here our family uses our Flowfeet
Below you can see a short video of our family enjoying the Flowfeet from Flowlife. There are plenty of situations where the whole family benefits from this foot massage device, big and small.
Our whole family uses it. See here where and how

Your feet deserve a massage
As described earlier in the article, the feet are one of the body parts that are exposed to the most pressure.
If you take that into account, and then add that your foot also consists of over 60 joints, over 200 ligaments and more than 35 muscles and tendons. Then it makes much more sense that foot massage should be part of your everyday life. Just think how much you can influence with foot massage. We have discussed all the benefits of foot massage earlier.
Serious massage or just well-being
Yes, that’s up to you!
I am of the firm belief that Flowlife Flowfeet can be used for both. That is what you get when you buy a quality product.
Sometimes it’s really nice to just have my toes kneaded, not because there’s anything wrong, just because they need some pampering. But then it’s great for me that even the same device can give me this “professional” feeling of a real foot massage when I really need it. Could be after a hike of +50km, for example. So Flowfeet is my very best friend, without exception!
Manual foot massage or Flowfeet?
I have neither the time nor the means to have my feet massaged every day! Put on the tip! But let’s start with a foot massage 3 times a week. I don’t know specifically how much such a massage costs from a masseuse, but I think I can easily imagine the calculation. My assessment is that a Flowlife Flowfeet quickly “earns its money”
I have written earlier in the article that my assessment is that the masseur can do it better and be more specific. I stand by that! But it is the opposite and a somewhat more expensive, difficult and time-consuming exercise. That is why I have become so happy with my Flowlife Flowfeet.
A foot massage machine that works (and we’ve talked about that, those things from Flowlife do) would be the next best alternative for me! An alternative that I can use seven days a week, and several times a day.
But can’t you just get your partner to massage your feet? I’m lucky enough to have a wife, so in principle I could do it! But if she had to massage mine 4 times a week and several times a day, I don’t think I actually had a wife anymore! (irony may occur) But my point is the flexibility of having a foot massage device at hand all the time. It’s damn.. delicious! You can find it all the time. Personally, I use it a lot when I come home from work (with tired feet) and want to go for a run. 10min in Flowfeet just to wake up the muscles again.
The wrong shoes can create the foundation
A lot of footwear is bad footwear. And that is one of the reasons why there should be a Flowfeet in every home. Today, the time has grown from the good foot-shaped Ecco shoes (to give an example). Many people run around in smart shoes and boots (myself included) just to look smart. No one really thinks about correct footwear until a problem arises in that direction. It is only when people have problems with their feet that they become aware of footwear, or other solutions..
If I take a look at our shoe shelf at home. I don’t have to look far to see why Flowfeet foot massage has become such a big success here. If I then take a trip to the shed, take a look at the boys’ football boots, the situation gets a lot worse. Stop it, what a bad pair of shoes!
I completely understand why you want to have the cool shoes. The ones that look cool, and maybe don’t feel so cool. I can easily follow that. But then maybe if you make that decision, you should choose to look at what you can do to please your feet!

Advantages and disadvantages of Flowfeet foot massage
There are probably many other pros and cons to Flowlife Flowfeet. So the list below is fairly exhaustive. But I have tried to find some of the advantages and disadvantages of Flowfeet that I think are most obvious.

Good advice for Flowfeet foot massage
Now I can only write from my own experience. But since we are 4 users of the machine at home, there are some very simple rules that apply..
Hygiene is one of the things that needs to be taken care of. The rule is simple: don’t put your dirty bare toes in the machine. Always wear a pair of thin socks of some kind, even your toes are freshly washed. This is mostly to avoid transferring the little joys you bring home from the school gym, here I’m thinking, among other things, of foot warts.
But even if you always wear socks, it’s really nice that the inner fabric in Flowfeet can be removed and rinsed. Because if you use the heating function on Flowfeet, it gets both hot and sweaty inside the machine.
Another good tip for using the machine is to combine the programs. Especially the first few times you use the machine, it is recommended to start with a low setting on the individual programs. This way you can “warm up your feet” and then work your way up in strength. The more experienced you become in using Flowfeet, the more you will get to know your feet and can then start higher in strength.
No two days of foot massage are the same.
Experience and continuous use of Flowfeet of course creates a good foundation. But I would also like to say that my experience says that no two days are the same. By that I mean that if I have a day where my feet have not been exposed to anything significant, I can easily start on strength 2, and actually feel like it is almost not noticeable. The next day I may have been at work, and then out running. So strength 1 on program 1 can feel like hell (in a good way, because it loosens up). But what I want to say is that your feet have no two days the same, so the treatment will not feel the same either.
Foot massage after running or other sports
The vast majority of sports I can think of would benefit from foot massage. Precisely because it has so many great benefits..
It’s almost like in all sports you use your feet in some way!
At home we run a lot, we play an incredible amount of soccer and we do crossfit. These are all sports where the feet really enjoy a foot massage afterwards..
I really think it’s great, and it helps if I come home from a run and my feet are tired. It gives a fantastic ease, a faster and increased recovery just by investing 15-20 minutes in my Flowlife Flowfeet.
But as I have also written before, I actually use Flowfeet to wake up my muscles before activity. A bit like I do with both Flowgun and Flowpillow too. It is not for a long time or any deep massage. But you can call it a warm-up of muscles and tendons before going for a run, for example..

Children’s foot massage is in
Been around it a bit. Everyone in the house uses the Flowlife Flowfeet foot massage machine. Big and small. All with different feelings and different outputs..
Our 2 boys may not have much idea about what feeling massage gives them, and what effect it has. So here the effect is a huge side benefit for them. Because their approach is definitely well-being. They think it’s delicious and wonderful to get a massage, also on their feet..
Stimulation is probably the word that describes it best. Boys are in high gear all day long. They run, play, play football and everything else. Of course, their feet also get exposed, tired and heavy. So when they ask if they can sit with Flowlife Flowfeet, we don’t hesitate to say yes. They think it’s delicious! Mom and dad know the side benefits of it. A win-win situation for all parties.
