Nike Free 2019 – New or old model?
Updated summer 2019 – Nike Free is still on the scene. It’s the concept that first saw the light of day in 2004. Back in 2004, this type of running shoe was revolutionary for its kind. There wasn’t really much else of that type on the market at the time. That’s not the case anymore, there are plenty of “that type” running shoes and philosophies on the market. But it will always be Nike who had it first, and when you talk about that type of running shoe, the first thing people think of is also a Nike Free.
Nike must also admit that after their peak in the years 2013/2014 where they really hit the nail on the head with the Nike Free Flyknit models, they have since moved back with Nike Free. Not least because of their own investments in other areas such as Nike React and various Nike Zoom models. Therefore, in 2019 they are now launching a Nike Free running shoe that moves a little back to “where we once were” or perhaps “back to basics”. That’s where we have the Nike Free RN 5.0. It is very reminiscent of the Nike Free from back then. The Nike Free RN 3.0 is a more updated and contemporary model with a more minimalist look.
If you’re now sitting there thinking “haven’t I seen them before, or am I remembering completely wrong?” Then you’re not completely wrong. Because it wasn’t many years ago that I last saw Nike Free in a 5.0 version. It was released back then, only to come back in an updated 2019 version. And many of us are happy about that.
Nike Free is not for first-time runners
When you look around at various websites that also review and test running shoes, many agree that if you are a first-time runner, then the Nike Free RN is probably not the shoe you should start with. Neither the 5.0 nor the 3.0 version. We definitely agree. The Nike Free RN 5.0 or 3.0 is probably not the shoe you should start with. You should look in other directions.
Nike Free running shoes are not for many kilometers
Nike Free is a great shoe. And it’s also a great running shoe if you use it correctly. Unless you’ve trained yourself to run completely barefoot, our claim is that the Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 and Nike Free RN 5.0 are both running shoes that are much better suited to short and fast runs, and here we’re probably talking runs UNDER 10 kilometers. Long runs are a no-go for us compared to these 2 models. But if you need a running shoe that is perfect for the gym, the Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 might be something close to optimal. It’s perfect for you who might warm up with 3-4-5 kilometers on the treadmill, and then head to the gym with the machines. The shoe is light, and you can even train barefoot in it.

The Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 is laceless

The Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 has a drop of 4mm
Is Nike Free a running shoe?
Some might go so far as to question whether it is a real running shoe. In our world, the Nike Free concept is a running shoe. You have to use it properly, of course, but it is a running shoe, even in this updated 2019 version..
But it is absolutely true that back in 2004, Nike Free was used perhaps as much as casual shoes/sneakers, and that is the case today. Maybe even to a slightly greater extent today. The Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 is a fantastic lightweight everyday shoe that you don’t even have to lace up when you put them on in the morning.
Differences between Nike Free 3.0 and 5.0
Basically, Nike wanted the shoes to be built on the same basic foundation. And basically, it has succeeded as it should. But still, there was a desire for the shoes to stand out from each other so that the Nike Free RN 5.0 should be the slightly more stable and supportive running shoe, whereas the Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 should be much more minimalistic. But are there other differences in the shoes?
Bodices
There is a difference in the upper in the 2 updated models in 2019. One is made of mesh and the other is made of Nike’s own Flyknit upper. And there should perhaps be a big difference, but our assessment is that there actually isn’t. Both shoes have a stretch effect that hugs your foot. Both materials allow you to run barefoot in the shoes. This may have a little to do with the fact that the Nike Free RN FLYKNIT 3.0 model “only” has half (if we’re being really nice) of the upper made of Flyknit. The rest are other materials that create the comfort and the support and stability that the shoe should have after all..
It can be hard to say whether one or the other is better. You get very close to the same experience. Both shoes have high breathability and a perfect fit. If I have to emphasize something, then the Nike Free RN 5.0 has a longer durability in the upper. The mesh material is more durable than the Flyknit material.
Shoelaces
By definition, there is a difference. Everyone can see that. There are laces on the 5.0 version, while the more minimalist 3.0 does not have laces. But there is not much difference. If you take a closer look at the Nike Free 5.0 shoe, you can see that the shoe only has a “cross” of laces. So our conclusion is that they are mostly put there for looks. And of course, that is also taken into account in relation to the extremely flexible upper that still wraps around the foot. You can certainly make a mark on the shoe a little with the laces, but it is not much.
Price
There is also a difference. And in fact, it is the one with the lower version number that is the most expensive. The Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 has a suggested retail price of 1,050,- while the Nike Free RN 5.0 has a suggested retail price of 900,–
The difference is probably primarily found in the materials, and especially the Flyknit material, used in the Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0.
Drop
If you’re going to run in them, you probably have a focus on the drop in the shoes. And there is a difference. Nike Free 3.0 is a bit more minimalist, and therefore also has a slightly smaller drop. It has a drop of 4mm.
The Nike Free RN 5.0 has a drop of 6mm. Still a low drop, but not quite as minimalist as the 3.0 version.
The 2019 models are lower than before. In the predecessors of Nike Free we saw drop heights of 8mm, which is a high drop height when we think in the direction of “barefoot” and “natural running”. So the new models have become more faithful to the concept in that direction
Barefoot running
The barefoot running philosophy was probably where it all started. When Nike Free became a reality, it was one of the focal points. And it still is today. Barefoot running is a concept that covers running naturally without the use of support and other aids. It’s not quite “bare” in Nike Free, but we’re getting there. And the Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 in particular, with its minimalist construction and a drop of 4mm, is close to it..
Both shoes have an upper and a general structure that allows you to run barefoot (without socks) in the shoes.

The Nike Free RN Flyknit has a soft knit upper (Flyknit)

The Nike Free RN Flyknit 3.0 is a minimalist running shoe
The following tells you in general about Nike Free running shoes. How they have been through the ages and in which versions. Since the Nike Free shoe has changed all the time, it is the versions above that are primarily applicable to runners at the moment.
Which number should I choose?
With Nike Free you train your foot muscles and at the same time get a crisp and fashionable shoe. Here I give you an overview of Nike Free shoes. In the video I guide you to choose the right version – it can be difficult to figure out whether you should get 3.0 or 6.0. The two most popular are 3.0 and 5.0, but make sure you choose the one that suits you.
As you can see, there are currently from 3.0 to 5.0.
The higher the number, the more it resembles a pair of traditional running shoes.
The closer to 0, the more natural running you get.
If you are new to the natural running style, it may be an advantage to start with a high number. You can always work your way down.
Here you will find links to the different models.
Nike Free was introduced in the US in 2004 after Nike observed how athletes used natural running. The different models were quickly introduced.
To this day, there has been everything from 2.0 to 7.0. However, sales are primarily in the 3.0 and 5.0 models.
It’s not going to be easy. That’s why Nike has also introduced a plus system. Models with a “+” are compatible with other Nike product lines.
Updated 2017 – Nike Free is no longer produced in numbered series. The concept has been slightly reworked in terms of replicating the models. The concept of the shoes themselves has been changed slightly, but still fundamentally the same. You can read further down in this article about the updated series.
There is also the Nike Free Run series. However, there is some uncertainty about when it will be used.

The Nike Free concept has been updated
(Updated September 2017)
The good old Nike Free series has been updated. Where it used to be mostly bought as a casual shoe, Nike has now managed to reverse the trend to Nike Free actually being sold as a running shoe.
The models from the past, for example the 5.0 and 3.0 and not forgetting the Nike Free Run were really nice shoes. Shoes that did lots of really good things for your feet, but people didn’t really choose to buy them as running shoes, but more as casual shoes. But that has changed now.
Nike Free RN series
This is the new series of the Nike Free running shoe. And this time manufactured AND used as a definite running shoe. The shoe’s structure has been completely renovated, so that the sole in particular is now not just soft. It is also somewhat more intended for running. It twists as it should, and every time you take a step, the shoe/sole follows. It gives a completely new feeling. The very concept of calling this shoe Nike Free is still the same. Even the same updated sole is still so intelligent that it can expand in several directions, and that is the feature that makes it so flexible and dynamic. There are several different models within running in Nike Free RN. Of course, these are models that we constantly try to have tested and reviewed so that you are updated on Nike Free. The different Nike Free running shoes in 2017 are, among others.
The Nike Free concept is as always produced for men, women and children. Especially for children, Nike Free running shoes are still chosen as an excellent leisure shoe. Because it allows the children’s feet to breathe, it is really soft and comfortable and last but not least, it is smart to look at.
My personal opinion on Nike Free
I will express my personal opinion below after testing Nike Free. It was a bit difficult to have a first-hand impression of the shoes. At least from the outside, as I have seen Nike Free on many of my friends and acquaintances for many years. And I must honestly admit that I have always found the shoes to be incredibly cool. The look is well thought out – both as a casual shoe and as a running shoe. With a shoe like this, it is difficult not to be influenced by its design. And with the selection of models offered, there is undoubtedly a model for you.

Design is far from everything. The most important thing is of course functionality, so I will also touch on the functionality, which I can already reveal is not as impressive as I had hoped. As a real running enthusiast, you can’t help but be skeptical of a shoe like Nike Free, which is sold as a running shoe, but also as a leisure shoe. Because you sit between 2 chairs when you want to hit both segments. I think that
First impressions
As expected, I am absolutely delighted to open the package with the brand new Nike Free. They are just as beautiful, if not more beautiful, than I expected. I can hardly wait to take them out for a run, with such a beautiful running shoe, you can’t help but stick out your chest and run with dignity. It’s hard not to look down and enjoy the sight of the brand new running shoes, which just sit comfortably on your feet and shine as if they had never done anything else.

I run a shorter run on varying, but generally harder surfaces, and I can’t quite understand why people are so keen to criticize Nike Free for its running performance. The run feels natural and I think Nike Free gives it nice support. Above all, it feels really comfortable around the foot. At the same time, I can feel that the running shoe makes me move forward more on my toes. At the end of the run, however, I can feel that my feet are starting to get a little tired. But all in all, it was a positive first impression with Nike Free.

After 100 km
My first impression was really good, but after running more and longer in Nike Free I am no longer so impressed. I still think it is an excellent shoe for shorter runs, walks and fitness training. As a running shoe, I think there are better running shoes. Both shoes that promote natural running, minimalist running shoes, and regular running shoes for marathons or similar. Nike Free works great for shorter runs, but for longer runs, I don’t think Nike Free is a good choice. It gets hard on the feet and joints on longer runs, as the shoe doesn’t provide much support or shock absorption, it gets strained in the long run.

I personally think that Nike Free is more of an everyday shoe than a running shoe. If you really want a natural running shoe I wouldn’t recommend Nike Free. At least not if it’s a shoe you plan on using on all your runs. Compared to other natural running shoes, you don’t get much technology for the money.

That said, the shoe should not have more cushioning than absolutely necessary. Many running enthusiasts criticize the shoe (like myself) – but without having full knowledge of all the models. There are different versions of Nike Free. If you don’t get the right ones, it can be easy to criticize. As you can probably see in my review of Nike Free, I don’t think you get enough running shoes for the money.
Bottom Line: If you run less than 15 km per week it will be an excellent running and training shoe. If you run more I would recommend using Nike Free as a nice casual shoe and buying one more specialized running shoe.
What others say about Nike Free
It’s always good to have other people’s opinions than just mine, as I may be biased. This section will be continuously expanded with in-depth analyses, but for now you will have to settle for this overview.

Advantages and disadvantages
In my review and test of Nike Free I have found several advantages and disadvantages. The main thing is that I find Nike Free to be an excellent everyday and training shoe, but not a definite, or particularly good, running shoe. Below you can read much more about what I liked and what I was not impressed with in my test and review of Nike Free.
Benefits
There are several advantages to Nike Free. However, they are not necessarily tied to the performance of the shoe, but rather to its comfort and design. However, this should not take anything away from the shoe, which has a lot to offer even though it may not be the world’s best running shoe.
Price
Comfort
Versatile use
Disadvantages
While I found a number of advantages to the Nike Free in my review, I also found some disadvantages. The disadvantages lie more in the direction of the shoe’s functionality. While the design is the shoe’s biggest advantage and selling point, the shoe’s functionality is its biggest drawback.
Not a distinctive running shoe
Durability
Nike Free women and men
Whether you are a woman or a man, you will always be able to find a large selection of the different Nike Free models on the internet. The internet has collected all the models, and even in a sea of colors so you can see and compare the different ones. The color selection for Nike Free men is generally darker than the Nike Free women’s models. However, what is characteristic for both men and women is that you can get them in both matte and sharp colors.

How should I train with the shoe?
Nike Free is a running and leisure shoe, whose original purpose was to strengthen the foot’s musculature by allowing the foot to work naturally without too much cushioning or pronation support. Nike recommends that runners gradually switch to more Free Run. Natural Running is Nike’s term for the natural running style you can achieve with this model.

If you start training in these shoes abruptly, you will typically get injured. Because you have trained in normal running shoes your whole life, a pair of natural running running shoes will overload your tendons, bones and muscles. I would therefore recommend that you start running with Nike Free slowly. Either by choosing the Nike Free 5.0, which is most similar to regular running shoes, or, in the beginning, using the shoe as a supplement to a pair of other running shoes. You can also start by running exclusively on softer surfaces, such as grass. But pay close attention to signs of fatigue in the foot and around the ankle. It can be difficult to notice, as such injuries come on slowly. If you are in doubt, it is always better to take a short break or use your regular running shoes until the inflammation or soreness has disappeared. Because one thing is for sure, you come from “normal running shoes” and expect to be able to run 10km in Nike Free from day 1, just with a better time. Then you will be disappointed. Not least on yourself, because it is almost certain that you will feel discomfort afterwards. So start lightly and smoothly, and pay attention to your body’s signals.
It may not sound very appealing to train in these shoes, but make no mistake. Once you get used to training in natural running shoes, your running training will be completely different. You can read more about Nike Free on Nike.com.

Part 1: Nike Free Review – Is it Right for You?
Below you will find a step-by-step review of Nike Free, so you can find out if Nike Free is right for you as a runner. Both for your running style, your goals, training volume, etc. I have tried to divide the review into many parts, so that you can quickly form an overview and find the information you are looking for about Nike Free. Nike Free is an overall series and there are some differences between, for example, Nike Free 3.0, Nike Free 4.0 and Nike Free 5.0. Where necessary, I will provide information about the differences between the different running shoes, if there is no significant difference, the different Nike Free models are treated as one and the same shoe.

Running style
Nike Free is designed and produced according to the concept of “Natural Running”. Natural Running is a concept where running shoes become tools for your feet to be set free and move as they were created to move. With Natural Running, which is similar to running barefoot, the internal muscles in the foot are allowed and allowed to use their full range of motion. This makes them stronger and provides improved stability and strength in the foot. This helps to give you a more natural gait. It is recommended to slowly get used to Natural Running, if you jump into it too quickly, you risk overloading your feet, both muscles, bones and ligaments. So even if you are a neutral runner, you should be careful not to overload your feet and legs at the beginning of running with Nike Free.

That’s why Nike Free is aimed at a neutral running style. If you overpronate or underpronate, Nike Free won’t provide enough support, precisely because it’s designed to promote your natural running style. That’s also why running many miles in Nike Free can be problematic, as the running shoe lacks the necessary support and cushioning for longer runs.
Fit
In all Nike Free models there is a good and comfortable fit. The running shoe sits tightly around the foot, without pressing. The mesh upper provides good ventilation and breathability in Nike Free. The minimal sockliner provides good comfort by adapting to the shape of the foot, which also provides the shoe’s support. The entire upper is made without seams, so there are no annoying pressure points on the side or the upper part of the foot. All Nike Free models have roughly the same width and fit, but since it is not exactly the same, for the sake of clarity I have made a detailed width description of Nike Free fit, divided by individual model.
Fit in Nike Free 3.0
- Size: Standard running shoe length
- Heel: Medium to narrow
- Midfoot: Low volume
- Forefoot: Medium to narrow
- Toe height: Low

Fit in Nike Free 4.0
- Size: Standard running shoe length
- Heel: Medium

Fit in Nike Free 5.0
- Size: Standard running shoe length
- Heel: Medium
- Midfoot: Low to medium volume
- Forefoot: Medium

- Arch structure: Medium
- Shoe shape: Curved
Size Nike Free
As you can see from the chart above, Nike Free sizing is very similar to a standard running shoe length. There is no need to speculate too much about the size as it will be similar to your normal running shoe size. I also personally found that there was no noticeable difference between Nike Free sizing and my sizing choices in other running shoes.
In fine clothes
Nike Free has the well-known Waffle outsole, which is made of durable rubber and has some deep grooves that provide good grip on firm surfaces. Nike Free is mainly for running on asphalt and well-groomed gravel paths, which are found in parks and around lakes. I cannot recommend taking Nike Free out on single trails, muddy forest floors or off trails. For that purpose, the grip in the sole is far from strong enough. However, for both asphalt and good gravel paths, you get a secure grip with Nike Free.

Price level
Nike Free is a cheap running shoe. Its recommended price is around 950 kr, but since there is a lot of competition for customers at Nike Free, the shoe is almost always on sale. There you can always buy Nike Free for under 700 kr, which is a really good and low price for a running shoe. With Nike Free you get a lot for your money and can take advantage of the fact that popularity has pushed the price down, so you can find your next Nike Free cheaply on sale.
Weight
As part of the Natural Running concept, it is also natural that Nike has focused on keeping the weight as low as possible with Nike Free. Therefore, no matter which model you choose, you get a very light running shoe that feels natural on the foot. Below you can find the exact weight for the different Nike Free models. They differ slightly from each other, but Nike Free 3.0 is the lightest. Very natural since it is also the most minimalist running shoe of the three different Free models.
Nike Free 3.0 weight
- 204 g at size 42
Nike Free 4.0 weight
- 209 g at size 42
Nike Free 5.0 weight
- 206 g at size 42
Shoe type
A very versatile shoe that is used in many different combinations and for very different things. Most often you will see Nike Free on the street and at the sidewalk cafe, but it is not just a fashion shoe. Nike Free is a running shoe that is best for shorter runs and not too high volume. A few shorter runs a week is an excellent choice. If you want to run more and further in Nike Free, it is something that you need to train yourself really well and slowly for. It is a shoe that promotes natural running, but if you are not well prepared for it, high volume and natural running is a sure way to get an overuse injury. Therefore, it is mainly a running shoe aimed at the leisure runner.

Heel drop in Nike Free
Part of running naturally is running more on the forefoot and midfoot. That’s why minimalist running shoes that promote a natural running style always have a lower heel drop. You can get running shoes with 0mm heel drop, which is exactly the same as running barefoot. The Nike Free models are not that extreme, but there is not much heel drop in the shoe, as a large part of the idea behind Nike Free is precisely the natural feel. To further add to the feeling of running naturally, the outsole has also been made completely flexible and soft. There are differences between the models. The Nike 3.0 is the most extreme and the one of the models with the lowest heel drop. The 4.0 is something in between, while the 5.0 has the most heel drop of the three models. Below you can see the heel drop for all the Nike Free running shoes
Heel drop in Nike Free 3.0
- Heel height: 21 mm
- Forefoot height: 17 mm
- Heel drop: 4 mm
Heel drop in Nike Free 4.0
- Heel height: 20 mm
- Forefoot height: 14 mm
- Heel drop: 6 mm
Heel drop in Nike Free 5.0
- Heel height: 21 mm
- Forefoot height: 14 mm
- Heel drop: 8 mm
Part 2: Review of the shoe – Construction and technique
Outsole
The outsole is made of flexible but durable rubber. This means that your foot can move freely in all directions, thereby strengthening the inner muscles of the foot and promoting natural movement and natural running. The outsole provides excellent grip on harder surfaces such as asphalt and well-groomed gravel paths. However, for trail running, the grip in the outsole is not sufficient, so there is no reason to move outside on harder surfaces, or grass.
Midsole
None of the shoes have any significant shock absorption. Effective and powerful shock absorption would go against the whole concept of Natural Running. The outsole provides some shock absorption, most in the Nike Free 5.0, which is the shoe that most resembles a regular running shoe, and least in the Nike Free 3.0, which is the shoe that is the most minimalist of the shoes. See more about this in the section about heel drop.

Heel
The heel of the Nike Free mimics the shape of the foot and rolls off the ground to promote a more natural take-off and run. Although a pair of Nike Free encourages you to run more on your midfoot and forefoot, the heel is an important part of the running motion.
Midfoot
In the midfoot, there is minimal support and shock absorption under the foot, but around the arch and the sides of the foot there is support. The support around the foot is mainly to provide a comfortable fit and allow natural movement on top of the flexible sole.
Forefoot
In the forefoot, all Nike Free models have minimal cushioning and support. The idea behind Natural Running is to teach your foot and its muscles to run naturally, which means running on the forefoot and letting the muscles of the foot control the shock absorption and stability.

Upper part
The upper is designed to be the most comfortable, supportive and lightweight. Nike Free’s sockliner mimics the structure of the foot, providing a snug fit that doesn’t irritate the foot. There are no seams across the arch to minimize the possibility of irritation. Across the arch, diagonal lines have been incorporated into the upper’s construction, which help promote natural movement in the foot. The upper is built from as light a material as possible, and in areas where there is a greater risk of wear and tear, the upper has been reinforced to extend durability.

Design
Not only is the upper a technical feat of engineering at the highest level, the designers have also managed to create a design that works just as well for festive occasions as it does on the local running track. That is an achievement in itself. The simple design is complimented by the sharp and well-chosen color contrasts. Nike Free has managed to mix the technology of the running shoe with the design of the coolest sneakers.
Nike Free compared to other running shoes
If you want to compare Nike Free to other running shoes, you should look for running shoes that are also in the lightweight and minimalist shoe category. The most straightforward comparison is with the newest branch of the Nike Free family, namely the completely new Nike Free Flyknit running shoes. If you are instead looking for more specific and specialized natural running shoes, you can take a look at Inov8 X Talon 190 for trail running or Inov 8 Bare XF 210 as a barefoot alternative. As an everyday shoe and in terms of design, there are no other running shoes that can live up to the high standard that Nike Free has set.
The amazing story of Nike Free
It’s hard to believe that Nike Free is already 10 years old. The original Nike Free hit the market back in 2004. Nike Free was the shoe that brought the concept of barefoot running to the mainstream. Ever since, it has maintained its position as a bestseller, embraced by athletes and fashionistas alike.

Nike Free was originally developed and created by Tobie Hatfield and Eric Avar. They were inspired to design and create Nike Free after hearing about, and observing, a group of Stanford athletes who trained barefoot on the university’s golf course. To investigate this further, they brought a group of athletes, both male and female, back to Nike’s facilities. Here, they examined the effects of barefoot running on the foot with high-speed cameras and special pressure gauges. The result of eight years of intensive studies provided a better understanding of the concept of “Natural Running” and the foot’s natural movement patterns. These brand new discoveries required a new running shoe with minimal heel drop, unconventional shape and a super flexible outsole. All to give the foot the most natural movement patterns, so that your foot can become as strong as possible and thus give you the best possible running experience.

Nike Free broke with decades of excessive use of shock absorption, raised heels and reinforcements. With Nike Free, they went back to basics and created a minimalist and natural running shoe before there was such a thing as a minimalist running shoe. As so many times before, Nike has led the way in innovation. And 10 years later, Nike Free is more popular than ever.
Offers and sales on the Free Run models
With the selection available online, you can be sure to find Nike Free sale or at least a good deal on Nike Free. Whether you buy 2.0 or 6.0 doesn’t matter much if you use the shoe for leisure use – most people buy the shoes because they are comfortable and look good. By using our retailers here on the site, you can almost always be sure to find cheap Nike Free running shoes.

Scam stores and Nike Free in Denmark
Since 2011, the search results have been dominated by fake stores. Unfortunately. I have been in contact with several retailers who have expressed what a huge problem this has been and still is. How do these fake Danish Nike Free stores work?
- A non-Danish person/business creates 1,000 Danish domain names. Many contain words like free, nike, run, dk, danmark, offers and sales.
- Behind all 1,000 pages is one system where all possible versions of the shoes are created. The shoes are released on all platforms.
- Due to the huge selection and other search techniques, these fake stores come highest in search engine results.
- The stores are offering a 50% sale on all shoes
- The shoes are not in stock and when you order you have lost your money – you will never receive your shoes.
I haven’t tried to buy from a fake store myself, but I have received wish lists with links to these fake online stores several times. It’s a shame, but it can sometimes be difficult to tell what is Nike Free Run Danmark real stores and what is a scam. You can’t just use the price of the shoes as an indicator of whether it is a fake business. My best advice, if you are in doubt, is to read as much text as possible on the website and check whether it is actually a Dane who has written the text, or whether it is a machine that has translated from another language. If you spend some time investigating the website, you can often wonder whether it is a fake website or not.
Best tip: If in doubt, don’t bother and go to a well-known dealer.
You can read more about how to avoid being scammed in these fake stores on the E-mark website, where they have a guide for how to spot an online scam business.
Spot a scam shop
On the E-mark website, which we have linked to above, you will find eight really good tips for avoiding buying your new Nike Free from a fake online store. We have collected the three best ones so that you can quickly get an overview of what you should pay attention to when trying to find an online store to buy Nike Free.
- Many spelling and grammar errors: The Nike Free scam shops are often written by machines or translated by themselves from a foreign language. All the text is therefore often characterized by an unhelpful language and lots of mistakes. At the same time, you will often see a lot of words and phrases like: Nike Free offer, Nike Free sale, Nike Free cheap and the like.
- Product name in the website name: This is another clear signal that should make your warning lights flash. When a website is called www.billignikefree.com/dk or similar, it is quite certain that it is a website based on cheating. This is one of the tools that the cheaters use to get higher up in Google, rather than real running stores on the internet.
- Missing company information: If you can’t find a website/store’s company information or it’s fake, that’s also a clear sign to stop. E-labeled stores can always be checked on the e-label’s website and CVR numbers can be checked at cvr.dk.
Beware of buying from fake Nike Free stores. Even though there may be a lot of money to be saved and the Nike Free running shoes are cheaper, there is no reason to be fooled. We only compare prices from approved and well-known running stores that you can trust.
Overall rating of Nike Free running shoes
After testing and reviewing Nike Free, it all has to end with an overall assessment of Nike Free, which brings together the review and everything I know and like about Nike Free. The things I like best about Nike Free are the shoe’s design, which is in a class of its own among running shoes. It’s classic Nike and certainly one of the reasons why Nike Free has become as popular as it is. Another thing is the price. In the beginning, Nike Free was not a cheap running shoe, but after the competition has become bigger and the supply has become the same, it is typically easy to find Nike Free on sale and at low prices. This has made Nike Free cheap, both as a running shoe and as a sneaker. It’s really refreshing.

As running shoes
If you run 1-2 times a week, Nike Free can be a sensible choice for your short runs. I do not recommend running in Nike Free for marathons or similar longer distances. There are other minimalist running shoes that I would rather recommend to you.

As casual shoes
As a casual shoe, it is incredibly comfortable and cool. It is suitable for both festive and more relaxing events, no matter where and how you wear Nike Free, it will almost always match the style in the best way. Simple design and strong colors have created a winner. Buy Nike Free in Denmark or abroad – but be careful not to buy from a fake store. The leftovers I have listed are all approved and used by thousands of users daily.
Nike Free compared to Nike Roshe Run
In a comparison of the Nike Roshe Run and Nike Free, you will quickly see how both shoes are made as casual shoes and not running shoes.

Light, comfortable and with good ventilation (best ventilation in the Nike Roshe Run).
