Introduction
Adidas has always lived up to their reputation as a dedicated and passionate company, especially when it comes to providing sports-related equipment. One of their new shoe collections is the Adidas Adistar Boost. When it comes to running shoes, you can never compare your previous models to your Adidas shoes. They have so many different sublime features that your running experience will never be the same.
The Adidas Adistar series consists of three different models: Raven, Ride and Boost. This new innovative model, the Adidas Adistar Boost, features Adidas’ new midsole called Boost. This midsole is designed to give you a light and smooth ride with a soft feel underfoot. The shoe’s upper consists of a seamless and elastic mesh material, which gives the shoe an almost sock-like fit, making your run feel both comfortable and secure. The midsole provides extremely good shock absorption, and you will feel this as soon as you put the shoe on and start moving.
What’s new in AdiStar Boost?
To give the Adidas Adistar Boost extra stability, the shoe consists of a new material that is mixed with the traditional, rigid foam that sits on the inner edge of the shoe. In addition, the traditional supportive technologies, such as the shoe’s crash pad that sits on the outer edge of the heel, are still found. In addition, we also find the plastic piece under the midfoot area, which also helps to optimize the shoe’s stability. Adistar Boost is primarily aimed at people with a low and flat arch.

The men’s Adistar Boost model weighs 293 grams, which is actually a bit heavy. The heel measures 28 mm and the forefoot measures 15 mm. Compared to other Adidas shoes, the heel and forefoot of the Boost model are a bit thicker, which means that you will have full protection against any objects you might step on on the ground. The women’s model weighs 272 grams, and is therefore a bit lighter than the men’s model. Here, the heel measures 31.2 mm and the forefoot 22.2 mm. Compared to the men’s model, the heel and forefoot are a bit thicker in the women’s model, which is most likely because women can handle a high heel and forefoot better. It’s like wearing wedge sandals.

This new version is designed for runners to use for daily training as well as for longer distance running. Of course, it is also suitable for regular running, and wearing the Adidas Adistar Boost you will not experience any challenges or problems along the way. Your run will feel easy and comfortable.

Is the Adidas AdiStar Boost for you?
Price
Adidas Adistar varies in price depending on where you buy it. Its suggested retail price is 1200 DKK. Considering how good the quality of this shoe is, this is a good and fair price. Especially when you can find it on sale or on sale, which is often possible when buying online.

Arch support
The arch support is located inside the shoe and is what makes the shoe adapt to the arch of the foot. In addition, this helps to ease the strain on the muscles during both running and walking. The arch support in the Adidas Adistar Boost is lightweight, which means that the forefoot and heel area can move independently, which provides better stability. If you are wearing a shoe with perfect arch support, it will be easier for you to run long distances. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to this if you are to be able to assess which running shoes are right for you. In addition, Adidas has also used the EVA cradle technology, which can be found on the medial side of the shoe, which gives the shoe a medium level of arch support.

Pronation control
To offer users good pronation control, Adidas has used FORMOTION technology in the heel of the Adistar Boost. This technology ensures that the initial movements of the foot are controlled. In addition, the shoe has a medial PRO-MODERATOR, which helps to make the inside of the shoe stiff and stable. Overall, the Adistar Boost offers good stability, making it perfect for runners with a tendency to mild or moderate overpronation. More minimalist runners will not benefit fully from this shoe.

Terrain
Because the Adistar Boost has such good traction, it is perfect for running on terrains such as track, road and gravel. The optimized traction also means that you can use it without worry on wet terrain, where the risk of accidents is significantly reduced. If you are the type of runner who varies in terms of terrain, this shoe is really good for you, as you will be covered in many areas.

Additionally, you won’t experience any problems with any objects you encounter on the ground. Some people spend a lot of effort being aware of this while running, but if you choose Adistar Boost, this is not necessary. It will protect you throughout your run, and you will only experience comfort.

Use
The shoe is perfect for normal training. You can use it for both running and a normal workout. So you are not limited to a single activity, and in addition to its versatility, it also offers good durability and comfort. With every step you take, it will give you more energy. This shoe will definitely help you boost your performance.

Durability
As a frequent runner, it is important to prioritize the durability of a running shoe before investing in them. Of course, a running shoe is not free, and you get what you pay for. However, durability is a good idea to keep in mind, as this will allow you to benefit from the shoe for a longer period of time. The durability of the Adidas Adistar Boost is undeniable. It is incredibly durable, and even if you have used the shoe for many different activities over a long period of time, it will still give you a superb experience. You will not be disappointed in any way.

Size and fit
You should choose Adidas Adistar Boost in the size you normally wear. This is due to the fit, which is so tight that it will feel like you are wearing socks and not shoes. This makes it very useful during sprint training, among other things. If you have a normal shoe size, you will therefore benefit a lot from this shoe. It is available in many different sizes, and it is therefore quite certain that you will also be able to find one that suits you. If you buy it in a size larger than you usually wear, you must be aware that the fit will be looser, which will impair many of the qualities and properties of the shoe.

Weight
The Adidas Adistar Boost men’s model weighs around 298 grams, while the women’s model weighs 272 grams. How much the shoe can weigh depends on what type of running you intend to use the shoe for. Compared to other running shoes, the Adistar Boost is on the slightly heavier end, but this doesn’t matter if you are aware of whether a heavy shoe suits your type of running. If you are into lightweight shoes, this model is not for you.

Heel height
In the men’s model of Adistar Boost, the heel height is 28 mm, while it is 31.2 mm in the women’s model. With this heel height, no runner will feel uncomfortable wearing the shoe. If you were to go out to run on an uneven surface, the heel height will ensure that you will be well protected.

Forefoot height
In the men’s Adistar Boost model, the forefoot height is 15 mm, while in the women’s model it is 22.2 mm. This is a really good forefoot height that will make your run safe and comfortable.

Heel-to-toe drop
The heel-to-toe drop is the difference between the heel height and the forefoot height of a shoe, and in the case of the Adidas Adistar Boost, the heel-to-toe drop is therefore 9.3 mm in the men’s model and 9 mm in the women’s model. The difference is small, and they are both relatively high heel-to-toe drops. This is perhaps one of the minor drawbacks of this model, as it can be difficult for some to handle. If you are not used to wearing shoes with such a high heel-to-toe drop, this can result in pain and discomfort.

Construction of AdiStar Boost
The outsole
The outsole of the Adidas Adistar Boost model uses AdiWear technology. This technology consists of carbon rubber, and provides a controlled feel in the area around the heel. AdiWear is very durable and hard-wearing and is perfect for both resistance, flexibility and grip. If these things are under control, there is less risk of injury during both take-off and landing. Injuries that occur during this, and which are most often in the forefoot or heel, are relatively frequent, but due to the use of AdiWear technology, Adidas has significantly reduced the risk of this.

Additionally, Zonemotion is used, which is a specific outsole design that aims to provide a more flexible feel in the forefoot. Men and women need different amounts of flexibility, and with the use of Zonemotion, which is gender-based, this has been addressed in both the women’s and men’s models.

Midsole
The midsole of the Adidas Adistar Boost uses a lightweight material called Boost. The material consists of TPU pellets and helps to make the run comfortable and soft. This is one of the reasons why many runners, despite starting to feel fatigued during the run, still enjoy their run. Due to the Boost material, the shoe is easy to use and the run will feel natural.
In addition, we also find the Torsion System in the midsole. The Torsion System is a thermoplastic part that is shaped like a wishbone. It is developed to increase the foot’s ability to move inside the shoe, which will ultimately help increase stability. The stability in this case helps reduce overpronation.

Upper part
The upper in the Adidas Adistar Boost is really good in every way. An Open Mesh system has been used, which means that the foot dries quickly. This is especially true if you usually tend to develop a lot of foot sweat during running. You may still sweat, but with this system the amount is significantly reduced, which means that you will not feel discomfort.
To avoid injuries, it is important that the shoe can offer you optimal support while running. The upper uses Tech Fit Upper technology, which gives you just the right amount of flexibility while also giving you just the right amount of support.
In addition, the Adistar model also incorporates Geofit technology, which is memory foam placed in the heel. This technology both increases comfort and improves the fit. Last but not least, the Strobel Last technology is found in the underfoot, which gives a softer feel in this area.

Adidas Adistar Boost’s technical construction
The Adidas Adistar Boost is the latest addition to Adidas’ range of running shoes, and it has quickly become one of their most popular models. Reviews from people who have tested and reviewed the shoe show significant improvements in terms of both comfort, stability and support, which all in all boosts the performance of the runner and the shoe. The construction of the shoe exudes high quality and the many features and technologies used during the development of the Adidas Adistar Boost make it a really good running shoe.

To give the shoe a strong and solid grip, Adidas has used the AdiWear continental rubber material. This material means that the shoe can be used on many different terrains without getting damaged. In addition, the Boost technology helps to give the runner renewed energy by facilitating the movements of the foot.

One of the very best features of the Adidas Adistar Boost is the Techfit technology, which gives the shoe really good flexibility and fit. A good and comfortable fit reduces the risk of foot and ankle injuries. The shoe’s flexible textile upper adapts to the shape of the foot, which means that it adapts to your specific needs. The synthetic overlay also helps to increase the durability of the shoe, and also helps to reduce the overall weight of the shoe. For shock absorption, adiPRENE technology is used, which means that you will not feel shock or pain in your ankle or leg while running.
If you find it interesting to keep track of your distance, speed, calories burned, etc., this shoe is MiCoach compatible, which means it can easily work with the Adidas MiCoach censor. Keeping track of your stats will be much easier than before.

Offers and discounts
Due to the high demand for the Adidas Adistar Boost, there are many different offers and discounts to be found. The good thing about the shoe is that its original price is also affordable, but it will of course always be an advantage to find it on sale. With a little effort, it will be quite likely to find it at a good and reduced price.

Adidas Adistar Boost men’s and women’s model
Shock absorption in the heel
In the area around the heel, the Adistar Boost has adequate cushioning. In the men’s model, I rate the cushioning in the heel as a 4 on a scale of 1-10, while I rate it as a 2 out of 10 in the women’s model. The men’s model therefore has better cushioning in the heel than the women’s model, which means that men may find this shoe more comfortable than women will.

Shock absorption in the forefoot
The cushioning in the forefoot of the Adidas Adistar Boost is really, really good. In the men’s model I rate it as 8 out of 10, while in the women’s model I rate it as 9 out of 10. This means that you will not feel any discomfort or pain in the forefoot, even if you have run a lot of kilometers. If your shoe has poor cushioning in the forefoot you may experience swelling, but this will never be relevant in the Adidas Adistar Boost.

Stiffness
The stiffness of the midsole is important when deciding which running shoe is right for you. If you want to be able to run at a relatively fast speed without compromising on overall performance, the stiffness of the shoe is very important and relevant. It is a question of flexibility. A very stiff midsole will possibly result in discomfort and pain, which can lead to injuries. Therefore, it is important to find a stiffness that is just right, which is what it is in the Adidas Adistar Boost, where I rate it at 6 out of 10.

Stability
Some runners frequently experience problems with their arches when they run. If you are one of these runners, the stability and support of the shoe is absolutely paramount to your overall running experience. You need a running shoe that is built up of different layers of polyurethane material, which is the material that provides the best support and protection. This can help correct overpronation as your foot movements will be controlled and more stable. These shoes are very useful for people with very flat feet, and according to runningshoesguru.com the Adidas Adistar Boost one of the very best stability running shoes on the market.

Running shoes similar to Boost
Many other trail running shoes are similar in many ways to the Adistar Boost model. The different models are adapted to different types of arch support and pronation control, and this is something to be aware of when choosing the right model. If you don’t think the Adistar Boost is for you, but want to stay with Adidas, you can consider the Adidas Adistar Ride, which is aimed at runners with neutral pronation.

Adidas Adistar Ride is good for running on track, paved roads and gravel – just like Adidas Adistar Boost. The latter two shoes are therefore perfect for normal use. Both models are fantastic in terms of performance, quality and durability. If you want to know more about Adidas Adistar Ride you can read my review here.

If you want to look outside of Adidas, you can consider the shoe that many runners call “”The world’s best running shoe” Asics GT Kayano, which, like the Adidas Adistar Boost, is good for longer distances and provides good shock absorption. A third running shoe that provides plenty of comfort is the popular Nike Lunar Eclipse, which has been optimized and improved through several models.
Summary
Adidas Adistar Boost is one of the very best stability running shoes you can find at the moment. It offers the ultimate comfort and protection that all runners need. This shoe comes into its own if you use it for normal training. It has a good and solid grip, which makes it very good on many different terrains, such as track, road and gravel. Even on a wet surface, the runner can count on this shoe to provide optimal protection. In addition, there is no doubt about the durability of the shoe. You can expect to have this shoe for a very long time, especially if you take good care of it.

Although I am generally very satisfied and impressed with this new shoe collection from Adidas, there are still some things about the Adistar Boost model that could be improved. For example, the heel-to-toe drop is a bit on the high side, which for some runners will be a challenge and can ultimately increase the risk of injury. This is especially true if you have never used shoes with a high heel-to-toe drop before. This is one of the features that I personally hope they choose to improve in the next version. The Adistar Boost model is available in many different colors. The men’s model is available in, among other things, “black onyx”, which is a very masculine color. The women’s model is available in colors such as purple, gray and fuchsia.
