Adidas AdiStar Salvation – honest review and sharp prices

NOTE: AdiStar Salvation has been discontinued. Find the updated model in the overview of Adidas shoe reviews.

The Adidas AdiStar Salvation 3 is a premium running shoe for runners with a tendency to pronate. Previously called the “Control” model, it has reached its 24th edition. The new shoe is the best shoe from Adidas for pronated runners – whether it is light pronation or moderate. If you don’t want the premium version, you can take a look at Supernova Sequence.

What is worth knowing about Adidas AdiStar Salvation?

Generally, shoes from Adidas are a bit narrow. The same applies to this model – especially in the heel. It provides a comfortable, tight fit. The tight fit gives you the best possible performance during your run – something that everyone from beginners to elite runners greatly appreciate.

Who runs with these running shoes?

The typical user appreciates quality, fit and has a desire for the fewest possible injuries. The running shoe is suitable for everyone from beginners to elite runners – however, the shoe is used for different purposes. If you run less than 50 km per week, I recommend that you use the shoe as your primary shoe.

Adidas AdiStar Salvation is a heavy running shoe – whether you are a man or a woman, the weight is +300 grams. The purpose of a heavier running shoe is to get optimal shock absorption. You will quickly experience that. At the same time, the execution of your run is from heel to toe – you get a comfortable roll over the foot.

A brief summary of the necessary technology used

With Formotion technology you get shock absorption that you rarely find anywhere else. By using GEOFIT, Adidas is taking advantage of the increasing trend towards fewer seams. Personally, I am a big advocate of fewer seams. It causes less irritation. By far the fewest shoes with seams cause irritation problems, but when they do occur, there is no avoiding them.

In addition to the above, AdiStar Salvation is associated with the collaboration between Continental and Adidas – I have written a little about that (and with a video) on the neutral top shoe Adidas AdiStar Ride.

Buy Adidas AdiStar Salvation on sale

Whether you are a man or a woman, you can certainly find this model on sale or offer. It is a question for you whether you want extra service (read: go to physical stores) or save money and buy AdiStar Salvation online on sale. That is your assessment. If this is your first time buying running shoes, I would recommend that you get competent advice.

Running on asphalt or all-round running shoes?

It is important to emphasize that the Adidas AdiStar Salvation is a mass training running shoe for hard surfaces. That is its primary surface. Conversely, it does not hurt to run on softer terrain. You can certainly use the shoe for trail running – however, that is not its specialty. My point is that you will not be harmed by using it for other purposes.
