I love lightweight running shoes, so the Adidas Adizero Tempo is a great fit for me.A lightweight competition running shoe, you can use for many purposes. Are you looking to cut seconds off your personal records, this is the right choice for your fast runs. You can expect to cut 2-4 seconds off your min/km time in distances from 5 km to marathon – it is definitely worth taking with you. You can then discuss whether you should run a marathon in an Adidas Adizero Tempo – so my clear conviction is that I would not do it. But again, that is my assessment, and I know the limitations of my body. There are probably plenty of runners who can do it, and in that way get the small gift of cutting X number of seconds off your kilometer time. In addition to the physical, it is a fantastic feeling to run in a pair of light running shoes. AdiZero Tempo is 100 grams lighter than the mass training shoe Adidas AdiStar Salvation (perfect primary shoe together with “Tempo”, as secondary shoe).

Personally, I think too few runners take advantage of the opportunity to alternate between heavy and light running shoes.

Adidas AdiZero Tempo is (a bit atypical) for runners with mild to moderate pronation. That’s great! Often lightweight shoes have eliminated the pronation wedge = more injuries for us runners with pronation. That’s not the case with this version – I and many others really appreciate that! Compared to the famous Asics DS Gel Racer, The difference lies primarily in the running style.

What does all that technology mean?

Adidas AdiZero Tempo is a stripped-down shoe. You should understand that in the sense that the amount of materials has been cut down. After all, the shoe weighs 100 grams less than mass training shoes. Yet the shoe is built around the sharpest technology.

The Formotion technology gives you good control of your pronation. Formotion is particularly known for the handling of the pronation of the forefoot itself. Like other top models from Adidas, the AdiZero Tempo also has a Continental sole. This is something I personally appreciate very much. Not that the sole is from Continental, but that there is a strong grip. It gives a good start. Overall, the Adidas AdiZero Tempo is a shoe that I can recommend in every way as your secondary shoe for fast runs, interval training and competitive races. It definitely gives you an extra boost when you want to “smash” a fast time in a 5 kilometer. It gives you better faith in it somewhere when you know that it is not the running shoe that is weighing you down.

That you are not hindered in any way by the shoe causing minor discomfort when you run. An upper that is made of extremely sweat-wicking material, which allows the feet to breathe in a quite fantastic way. I was very happy that the feet got such a good indoor climate in the shoe. It just gives that slightly better feeling. And here I think that Adidas Adizero Tempo really makes a difference. But I am also a big fan of fast 5 kilometer runs – so maybe that is why the TEMPO shoe is such a hit for me.

Sometimes you find incredible prices. If you find Adidas AdiZero Tempo on sale or for men or women, just grab it. You can’t always get such good prices. Whether you stock up on 5 pairs or settle for 2 pairs is up to you. And since it’s a shoe that isn’t on sale that often due to supply and demand, my clear advice is – grab it when you can.
