You’ll come across this in our description a few times, but it’s fantastic that Asics has managed to produce a running shoe that also looks a bit smart. This means that the shoe can easily be worn with a pair of jeans or shorts. That way you have the opportunity to give your feet the best conditions 24/7?
That said, I would also like to point out that the Asics RoadHawk FF is a full-blooded running shoe, so just because you can use it as a sneaker, you don’t lose any running aspects of the shoe. You get an excellent running shoe that is specialized in speed and pace, but that just makes it even more unique.
The RoadHawk FF from Asics is a neutral lightweight for him or her who certainly doesn’t want to be weighed down by the shoe when setting a new PR on the distance. You will very quickly notice when you step into the Asics Roadhawk FF that the shoe is very light, comfortable and responsive. In our test, a size 43.5 was used, and with a measly 236 grams, it must be said that Asics has managed to cut a lot of grams from the shoe. However, this is without compromising on comfort..
The shoe does not have a particularly low drop, but it is still lower than other common models like the Asics Kayano and Asics Nimbus that you know. The 8mm low drop “forces” you to step forward a bit on your foot, so there is more focus on landing on the midfoot and not the heel.
All in all, the shoe is just light and elegant, both to look at and to step into. The upper also completes the experience of the Asics RoadHawk FF. A very light and breathable upper that fits really well and tightly around your foot. It gives a great experience when you have to perform well that the shoe fits as it should. You should notice that it is a relatively tight fit. So you should be a fan of that.
The shoe is recommended elsewhere for faster but shorter trips. And that is not wrong either. But I dare say that it will also be a running shoe that can be used for medium distances. Could easily be your next running shoe for a half marathon, where you intend to run for a new PR
