Brooks Glycerin – a super hit for neutral running style

Glycerin 12 was named and has since experienced massive progress year after year. Brooks Glycerin 12 lasts many kilometers – it’s a real slider. Development goes one way and that’s forward. Brooks Glycerin 12 is in every way a running shoe for the runner who doesn’t compromise on quality.

If you have a neutral running style, then you simply have to try Brooks Glycerin – end of discussion. With Brooks Glycerin you get a fabulous running shoe that provides perfect shock absorption and incredible comfort that is rarely seen in other shoes.

It is a very luxurious running shoe at only 270 grams. Normally this type of running shoe is +300 grams. You get less materials, but that is only a good thing. With a weight of 270 grams, I think the shoe is suitable for both leisurely walks and slightly longer walks. The drop from heel to toe is only about 9 mm, which is quite low for a mass training shoe. If you want to work a little with your natural running style, running in this shoe from Brooks will be a big step on the way.

It’s difficult to compare the Brooks Glycerin to other running shoes because it’s so different. It’s probably a bit of a mix of the neutral running shoes New Balance 1080 and the thoughts behind it all running shoes from Inov8.

What is being said about Glycerin?

The upper is made with the latest Screen-Printing technology. Instead of gluing or melting the parts together, this method has been used to reduce irritation and give you a better running experience. It is a somewhat more expensive method of molding running shoes, but it is worth every penny. It is a technology that cannot be compared 100% with anything other brands make. In addition, it gives a design touch beyond what you can expect from a pair of running shoes.

There are many types of shock absorption. Within shock absorption you can have soft cushioning and harder cushioning. Brooks Glycerin has a very soft absorption. This means that you almost don’t feel that you are running on concrete, asphalt or whatever hard surface you are running on.

What does Brooks Glycerin consist of?

The most important thing for me is to mention the Biomogo midsole. In terms of material, it is in many ways similar to the analytical DNA shock absorption material in the other shoes. The advantage of Biomogo is that it is 100% biodegradable. This is a brand (read Brooks) that will now also take into account the sustainability of the earth – but without compromising on quality – quite the opposite.

The outsole is made of Caterpillar Crash Pad. The function of this is expressed in the landing. It gives you a soft and very flexible landing. Some running shoes break in the upper part of the material due to wear when landing, for example. With the Caterpillar Crash Pad, Brooks has easily and elegantly avoided this cat pain.

Finally, I would like to mention Omni Grooves – a technology used in many other Brooks running shoes. It is simply “just” the material that gives you a “smooth” roll from heel to toe when you run. All in all, it is a super nice material that helps give the shoe the final touch. Overall, the Brooks Glycerin is a very unique running shoe, which is highly recommended from here.
