Mizuno has launched the latest version of Mizuno Wave Nirvana 9. You get a formidable running shoe with absurdly good shock absorption and, not least, fantastic comfort. The shoe is part of the Wave series, which is known for lasting many kilometers – being stable and meeting a desire for well-thought-out comfort.

The Mizuno Nirvana men’s and women’s shoes are both constructed with some of the best shock absorption you’ll find on the market. There’s a good drop from heel to toe, which gives you a sensible heel landing and a soft “roll” over the foot before takeoff.

If you search around the internet you will usually be able to find Mizuno Nirvana on sale or at a discount. You may be able to get free shipping, and then there is no longer much reason to shop in a physical store.

What type of shoe is it?

Mizuno Nirvana is a lightweight training shoe for those who tend to overpronate. The shoe is for those who want a running shoe that is stable and firm. In other words, a running shoe that can handle many kilometers without getting particularly worn out.

There are of course always divided opinions about running shoes, but I sense that the general view of the Mizuno Wave Nirvana is quite positive. Read on the running page – here is a post with People’s experiences with Nirvana.

Like other shoes from Mizuno, the Nirvana has Smooth Ride. This helps ensure you get the best possible shock absorption. It is made to absorb as much of the shock as you need and no more. Why is it good? Shock absorption is important, but if a running shoe has too much shock absorption, a lot of the power is lost. With Smooth Ride, you are sure to only use the part of the shock absorption that you need.

What does Mizuno Nirvana consist of?

There is no doubt that the Mizuno Wave Rider is a true classic, and with the latest edition, it lives up to all expectations of a good versatile running shoe for asphalt running and long, heavy training sessions.

The primary technology used is Wave. Despite the fact that the shoe has such good shock absorption and pronation wedge as it has, the shoe is in no way heavy. In fact, it feels quite light to wear. The upper consists primarily of mesh. The material is breathable and gives you good opportunities to breathe during your running training so you give your feet the best possible climate. Without the right climate, you get blisters. All in all, a very stable running shoe, which is a good choice for those of you who train on asphalt and other hard surfaces.
