Running stores in Denmark and abroad

I have collected a bunch of online running stores and made an overview of what types of products they sell, brands and which countries they are from. Buying running shoes abroad?

It is usually a little cheaper to buy running shoes in England or Germany. So if you are looking for even the smallest savings, you should go to the foreign stores to look. However, the Danish running stores are also really cheap now. At the same time, several of them offer lightning-fast delivery, good returns and exceptional customer service. You should not be forced to buy running shoes, running socks and heart rate monitors in Denmark, but we should of course support our Danish stores. I am not always in favor of using foreign running stores – because if you look at it through Danish lenses, we have to keep our own society going. It must also be said that many of the Danish online stores and specialty stores have become better at matching foreign ones. Many times you can find a middle ground where the product may be a little more expensive, but in return you get the Danish guidance, the good service and all that included in the deal.

Running stores: My favorites

It actually varies a lot where I buy my running shoes. If I “just” need a new pair of the same old model, I buy where it’s cheapest and where the safety is in order. It often ends up being abroad, and then you could say that I don’t support the Danish stores and their set-up, but now that I’m used to shopping on foreign websites, I know their service, and I can save money on top of that, I think I’m entitled to it. However, it’s far from always the case that I need a similar shoe. Sometimes I’m looking for special running shoes that only a few running stores have – then the product selection becomes the primary factor. And then there are a lot of Danish stores that can work – because if there’s one thing that Danish running stores are good at, it’s adapting the range to the discerning Danish consumers.

I shop mainly in Denmark, England and Germany. If I am very hungry for new gear I buy from a Danish running store as I usually get delivery in 1 day. If you are completely new to online shopping, there is no doubt that a Danish running store will be preferable.
