Saucony running shoes are developed by passionists
When we talk about the brand Saucony, and especially their production of running shoes. We are talking about people who know what they are doing. They are passionate runners who have dedicated their lives and their thoughts to producing fantastic running shoes for you and me. And you have to say that they do it well. In Denmark, the brand Saucony is gaining more and more ground, and they only do that because they produce quality running shoes.
Saucony has been developing running shoes since 1898
It’s not a new and hip brand that suddenly popped up out of the ground. No, it’s a brand with many years of experience, and therefore also great experience in producing high-quality running shoes..
It all started in Pennsylvania in 1898, where 4 young businessmen at the time chose to start Saucony Shoe Manufacturing. The store was already doing well in 1920, at that time they were sending about 800 pairs of shoes out the door a day. And so it went on and on through the 90s. More and more athletes are coming to Saucony as a shoe and running brand. But it is especially in the 1990s and 00s that we here in Denmark have been able to see the brand’s entry into Danish running stores.
In 2011, they changed the heel to toe drop from 12mm to 8mm in their then top models – and it must be said that this was something that the Danes really welcomed. Saucony running shoes are now a brand that the vast majority of runners know – in line withNew Balance, Brooks, Inov8 m.m.
Types of runners that Saucony targets
In Denmark, we see Saucony mostly as a brand that supplies running shoes for those who want to run on the road. They have a few trail running shoes that have hit the market with success, but if you look broadly at what kind of runners they target, it is those who mostly move on firm ground.

What’s so great about Saucony running shoes?
There are a lot of great things about Saucony. But if I had to highlight a few, it would be that you can be sure that what comes to the market – it has been thoroughly tested and proven. It is carefully measured for the task the running shoes are supposed to solve. Everything that comes out of the Saucony test center tends to be of the highest quality. And that is a very cool security to have as a runner.
Another thing worth highlighting is definitely the way they build the shoes. You very very rarely hear someone say that a Saucony running shoe fits poorly, or has flaws in that direction. They have a really great fit, and do a lot of good for your feet.
Cool technologies in Saucony shoes
There is a lot of thought and development time behind the technologies in the Saucony running shoes you find on the shelves in Danish running stores. Below is just a small selection of the most prominent:
Power grid+ :
Is their sole construction that gives you the 21mm height in the forefoot and 29mm in the heel. It’s a construction that just gives you a super nice feeling when you run, and of course lots of shock absorption. A sole construction that lasts for many kilometers, without “dying and becoming flat”
Everun:
It’s an extra layer of cushioning – but much closer to the bottom of the foot. It’s a material that’s placed in the sole and returns up to 83% of the energy back to the runner. It’s this technology that makes Saucony running shoes so super soft and super cool to wear.
Isofit:
Another thing that makes your Saucony running shoes fit your foot so well is their ISOFIT. It is a sock-like method that is located inside the shoe, and ensures that your feet have the support they need. It is an ultra soft material, which is also made of highly sweat-absorbing mesh, so your feet can breathe really well.

Saucony men’s and women’s running shoes online – they can be found
It is difficult to find them, but selected retailers have the aforementioned Saucony running shoes. Many of the retailers we come across are abroad – but they also do it in a big way within Saucony running shoes. Our foreign retailers, Wiggle, Milletsports and 21Run do a lot to have a nice selection of Saucony shoes for both men and women.
They are not as popular as Asics, New Balance and Nike, but they are produced with at least the same level of quality and they are far more durable than many other brands.
Saucony women’s running shoes tend to last longer than Saucony men’s running shoes, but weight also plays a role. In addition to weight, your running style has a lot to do with the wear and tear of your Saucony running shoes.
